Starting seeds

On 6 Mar (I think), I started seeds. Here is a diagram of where they are planted:

(4 means 4-cell pack, and 3 means 3-cell pack)

They've been kept warm near a heat vent, and wet with water.

Today (10 Mar) I checked for sprouts and found some!

These will be big sunflowers:

These will be balsam:

These will be parsnips:

Hopefully these will become moonflowers:

Here is the attempt at cat-proofing the seed sprouting area and still giving them sunlight, too:

Most of the other seeds will be directly sown (peas/beans/greens/etc), but I may start a second round of seeds for some things (sunflowers, morning glories, etc).

  1. Hi Steven!

I am envious of your future garden, I can't even have a window box and my house plants hate New York. Can't wait to see how things turn out for you!
